GSM is well known as the European-style digital mobile phone method, and it has the largest coverage (approx. 70%) including the GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) method that is designed for data transmission. It is VK's main area of focus, and VK is currently very active in the world market putting out products such as GSM (900/1800), GPRS, Tri-Band (900/1800/1900), and American-style Dual-Band (850/1900).

The digital mobile phone method was utilized in Korea for the first time in the world, and Korean corporations are leading the market all over the world. VK has been getting attention since the first lauching of the CDMA2000 1 X method mobile phone in Korea, and CDMA mobile phones will be a great tool for VK to occupy the global market.

In 1997, VK started in the lithium polymer battery business. In 2000, VK finally succeeded in mass producing the batteries, proving its superior technology. From 2002, VK moved its production line to China and established a local corporation there as a part of its long-term global management plan.
VK is maintaining a systematic strengthening of R & D to develop new high-capacity products, and in 2004, VK applied it to its full-scale mass production.
